This is a public relations research report to help Sankofa Media Holdings, LLC increase visibility and distribution of the book “Beyond the Underground: Aunt Harriet, Moses of Her People.” Throughout the semester, my team conducted research through focus groups and surveys in order to recommend strategic marketing and public relations tactics.

I worked on the “Safer Sex Express” account as an account manager at Hill Communications. The client, a student sexual health initiative organized by Syracuse University Health Services, utilized my team’s help to launch its services. In order to track customer satisfaction after the initial launch, I created a post-implementation customer satisfaction survey. This later helped us to develop initiatives and change our marketing tactics in order to drive success for the client.

Course: Women in Spain
This is a paper that I wrote about the misrepresentation of women in advertising and the media in both Spain and the United States. Written in Spanish, I developed this piece while I was an exchange student in Madrid. This was a very interesting topic to write about because I was able to incorporate my own experiences from living in Spain into my research and writing. It also is a topic that I am passionate about as a communications professional.
